Investment Reading
I am often asked for details of the investment publications I read regularly. I began to make a list and was surprised to find there were so many, especially bearing in mind that I have excluded general brokers’ circulars, which I receive every day, and newspapers and magazines of a more general nature.
Here is the list:-
Economist
Jim O’Neill – Goldman Sachs
Richard Russell Dow Theory Reports – I read daily. His views on gold have been the same as mine since 2002
Mineweb
Minesite
Hard Rock Analyst
Soybean & Corn Report
Ecologist
Peter Grandich – his views have been spot on for the US stock market and gold
James Turk – a long time gold advocate and an old friend
Barrons Weekly
Kaiser Bottom Fishing – one of the best at analysing junior mining companies
Investors Chronicle
Moneyweek
Wall Street Journal
Financial Times – good for daily information. Their market views are not particularly helpful. Negative on gold over the last 10 years, during which it has been the most successful investment
